About Us

History: We opened for business on April 1, 2017 under a franchise agreement with Quilt Lizzy in Warrenton, NC. On Dec 30, 2023 we ended our franchise and became The Village Quilt Shop. We are a Christian business and offer good old fashioned customer service. We want to glorify God in all we do.

Our second location is The Village Stitchery at 200 Henderson Drive and is within walking distance of the quilt shop. It is two doors from our original location. At this location we offer Brother Sewing machines in a wide range of prices, HandiQuilter long arm machines, clearance fabrics and classes. When taking classes at our shop you will sew on our machines. We offer classes on the longarm after which you are qualified to rent the machine by appointment. This location also houses our service center. We are an authorized service center for Brother and HandiQuilter machines and have a full time repair technician on sight.

We invite you to join us for Open Sew Fridays. Just bring you project and sewing supplies and experience a mini retreat every Friday of the year.

We operate a Quilt Retreat center at beautiful Emerald Isle, NC that accommodates 8 quilters with 2 beds downstairs for the handicapable. More information is available on request.
